A man appears to be standing in awe of the aurora borealis - on his own lonely planet. The clever piece of camera trickery was created by Swedish photographer Goran Strand. He took the original panoramic photo during a huge solar eruption last week, near his home in Ostersund, Sweden. He says: “I took three separate images, to create a panoramic piece, which included my friend, who was out taking photos with me at the time. It was only when I put the photographs together I wondered what it would look like if I curved the picture round - and it looked just like a frozen planet. It captured exactly how I felt when I was out taking the pictures - like the world was so tiny compared to the huge sky.” Picture: GORAN STRAND / CATERS NEWS
